Reha-Stim Medtec AG expands to the US

Schlieren, Switzerland, April 29, 2019/ The Swiss based Reha-Stim Medtec AG, a company focused on bringing modern robotic gait and arm/hand training devices for the rehabilitation of patients after stroke, orthopedic surgeries or SCI incidents to the market, has established a US subsidiary Reha-Stim Medtec Inc. on April 12th, 2019. The company is based in Boston, Massachusetts, which is an ideal hub for entering the US market with a number of high quality rehabilitation hospitals and outpatient centers as well as top-notch academic research supporting robotic rehabilitation devices.

Reha-Stim Medtec Inc. will focus on marketing novel and science based gait training devices like the Gait Trainer GT II, the second generation of the pioneering Gait Trainer GT I with more than 20 years of clinical use, The FLOAT, a multi-dimensional overground gait training system, and the Callis slat belt treadmills. All devices are ideally suited to help patients to regain walking abilities in a safe environment allowing well known as well as new therapeutic training setups.

In particular, The FLOAT is a novel dynamic multidirectional overhead body weight support (BWS) system that supports patients with gait impairments from stroke, incomplete SCI, Parkinson or others in the training and rehabilitation of their natural locomotion after the initial ability to walk is restored.
